A full time business since January 1, 1975 we started out as an authorized Mopar Aftermarket parts distributor selling new Mopar parts to Chrysler-Plymouth and Dodge dealers in the New York and New Jersey area. Through the contacts made over the years we were able to purchase new surplus Mopar parts from the factory. Adding a warehouse location in Vermont we increased our sales force to cover all the Chrysler Corporation dealers from Pennsylvania to Maine. This exciting time lasted until 1981 when Chrysler cancelled the Mopar Aftermarket Parts Division . About this same time we started a retail end of the business known as Jack's Auto Parts to handle the mail order and swap meet part of the business with Mopar Performance and restoration parts. I operated Jack's Auto Parts with my brother Jimmy until 1990 when that portion of the business was purchased by my brother and he still operates it today very successfully. Classified as cancelled, obsolete and discontinued these NS-1 were stockpiled on our warehouse shelves awaiting a visit from an oversea's customer or for an order from an ad in Hemmings Motor News. Years later you may have seen us at one of the major car shows and swap meets like Englishtown, Carlisle, Hershey or Mopar Nationals offering our parts out of a big vendor trailer. Times have changed and for the past 9 years we have been offering our inventory online with Ebay and now on our own website. |
